Peec AI review and the best Peec AI alternatives

Peec AI is a Berlin-based AI search analytics platform that tracks your brand's visibility, position, sentiment and cited sources across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other models. The main Peec AI alternatives are Otterly.AI for small budgets, Profound and Scrunch for enterprise needs, AthenaHQ for content-led teams, and Ahrefs or Semrush add-ons if you already pay for those suites. All of these are monitoring tools. If you want someone to make the fixes, look at a done-for-you service instead.

What Peec AI does

Peec AI tracks how AI models talk about your brand. According to its homepage, you set up the prompts you care about (with AI-suggested prompts and search volumes to help), add competitors, and Peec reports:

  • Visibility and position: how often and how high you appear in AI answers, by model and country.
  • Sentiment: how AI models frame your brand.
  • Sources: which sites the answers cite, such as review sites, LinkedIn, Reddit and news outlets.
  • Actions: strategy recommendations, such as building review profiles or pursuing digital PR.
  • Reporting: CSV exports, a Looker Studio connector, an API and an MCP server.

The pricing page adds a longer feature list, including brand perception scoring, AI shopping tracking, gap analysis, a crawlability audit it says covers 40+ AI bots, and an agent with credits.

Peec AI was founded by Marius Meiners, Daniel Drabo and Tobias Siwonia. In November 2025 it announced a $21 million Series A led by Singular, bringing total funding to $29 million, according to its own blog.

Peec AI plans

Peec AI's pricing page lists four plans. Every plan includes unlimited users.

Starter50Choose 31Daily tracking
Pro150Choose 32Daily tracking
Advanced350Choose 35Multi-country, Looker Studio integration
EnterpriseCustomAll modelsUnlimitedAnnual billing, API access, custom prompt setup

The monthly prices did not load in the version of the page we checked, so we have not quoted them. Check peec.ai/pricing for current figures. The thing to note is the "choose 3 models" rule: on self-serve plans you pick three AI models, so if you need ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, plan for that in your budget.

Strengths

  • Unlimited users on every plan. Your whole marketing team can log in without seat fees.
  • Clean source analysis. Seeing which domains AI answers cite is one of the most useful things a monitoring tool can show you, because it tells you where to earn mentions.
  • Good reporting options. Looker Studio, API, MCP and CSV exports make it easy to pull data into existing reports.
  • Agency friendly. Multiple projects on the higher plans and a dedicated agency offer.
  • Free trial. The homepage offers a free trial so you can test before paying.

Limitations

  • Model cap on self-serve plans. Three models per plan means you choose which engines to ignore, or pay more.
  • Prompt counts are modest at the entry level. Fifty prompts across three models is enough to spot trends for one brand, but tight for a business with several product lines.
  • Recommendations, not implementation. Peec tells you what to do. Updating robots.txt, adding schema, fixing your entity data and publishing content stays with you.
  • Prices need checking. We could not confirm current prices from Peec's own page, and third-party roundups disagree with each other.

Who Peec AI is for

Peec AI fits in-house SEO and content teams and agencies that want daily AI visibility data at a lower entry point than enterprise platforms, and have people who can act on the recommendations. It is a weaker fit for a business owner who wants a single answer to "what should I change, and can someone do it for me?"

How to test Peec AI before you commit

A trial is only useful if you test it on the prompts that matter to your business. Before you sign up:

  1. Write 20 to 50 buyer questions. Use the words customers use in sales calls and support tickets, such as "best payroll software for restaurants" or "is [your brand] good for small teams". Mix branded and non-branded prompts.
  2. Pick your three models carefully. Match them to where your buyers search. For most B2B and local businesses that means ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews at a minimum.
  3. Add three to five real competitors, not the biggest names in your industry.
  4. Run it for at least a week. AI answers vary from day to day, so one day of data can mislead you.
  5. Look at the sources tab first. The domains AI cites for your prompts tell you where to earn mentions, which is often more useful than the visibility score itself.

At the end, ask one question: will someone on your team act on this every month? If the answer is yes, a tool like Peec pays for itself. If not, read on.

Where a done-for-you service fits

Every tool in that table is a dashboard. That is useful if you have someone to act on it. Our AI search optimization services are a different product: we do the implementation.

It starts with a free AI visibility audit that checks whether AI engines mention you, whether AI crawlers can reach your site, and whether your schema, llms.txt and entity data are in place. On the $299/month plan, month one fixes those issues. After that we keep optimizing and monitor up to 50 prompts a month across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. It is a 3-month minimum, or $2,990 a year, and sites over 500 pages get a custom quote.

You could use both: a platform like Peec for daily tracking and an AI SEO agency for the fixes. Most small businesses only need one, and the right one depends on whether you have the time to do the work. Our explainer on how to optimize for AI search shows what that work involves.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best Peec AI alternatives?

Otterly.AI is the cheapest well-known option, starting at $29 a month. Profound and Scrunch suit enterprise teams that need many engines, and AthenaHQ adds content suggestions and a free tier. Semrush and Ahrefs offer AI visibility add-ons if you already use those suites.

How much does Peec AI cost?

Peec AI has Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise plans with 50, 150 and 350 prompts on the self-serve tiers. Prices did not display on the version of the pricing page we checked, so confirm current figures at peec.ai/pricing before you budget.

Which AI models does Peec AI track?

Peec names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini on its site, and self-serve plans let you choose three models. Enterprise plans can choose from all supported models.

Does Peec AI have a free trial?

Yes. Peec AI's homepage offers a free trial. The page does not state the trial length, so check the terms when you sign up.

Is Peec AI better than Profound?

They target different buyers. Profound is enterprise-first with custom pricing and up to nine engines, while Peec offers self-serve plans with unlimited users and a three-model limit. Smaller teams often find Peec easier to start with.

Can Peec AI improve my AI visibility on its own?

No tool improves visibility by itself. Peec shows where you stand and recommends actions, but your team still needs to fix crawler access, structured data, content and off-site mentions. A done-for-you service handles that work for you.
